WRF, CALMET and MICROMETEO models
Meteorological modeling is used to reconstruct the meteorological field both for use as input to air quality models and for civil defense or management forecasting applications. TerrAria also develops ad hoc models and processors; one example is MICROMETEO, a meteorological preprocessor designed to produce the inputs needed for many atmospheric pollutant dispersion models. This preprocessor is useful both for temporal interpolation of missing weather data and for calculating atmospheric turbulence parameters (atmospheric stability class, stirring layer height, etc).
