Micro-scale modeling

CFD models

Micro-scale modeling is used to study and analyze fluids subject to turbulent flows through a numerical approach. TerrAria applied the OpenFOAM (opensource CFD) code to evaluate the combustion efficiency of a flare in an industrial plant. In addition, through the applied model it was possible to evaluate the concentrations of pollutants resulting from combustion, the temperature and shape of the flame, and the turbulence generated by the flame.
