CENED +2.0

Software for energy certification of buildings in Lombardy

TerrAria designed and developed on behalf of Finlombarda spa the graphical user interface (client) of the Regione Lombardia application CENED+2.0, software used as of October 2015 for the energy certification of buildings in Lombardy, as required by D.G.R. No. 3868 of July 17, 2015.

CENED+ 2.0 calculation software consists of two components:

  • a calculation engine, capable of performing the calculations required by the relevant technical regulations on the evaluation of the energy performance of buildings (Annex H to D.D.U.O No. 176 of January 12, 2017, as amended);
  • a user interface that the certifier/professional can use to enter the necessary data, launch the calculation engine, and view the results obtained, generating the file to be uploaded to the rRegional eEnergy iInventory of bBuildings (CEER) to generate the APE (Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)).

Since 2016, TerrAria has been in charge on behalf of ARIA S.p.A. (formerly Infrastrutture Lombarde spa) of software maintenance (engine and interface) as well as the development of new features periodically released online through the project site below.

The CENED+2.0 Client allows the input of data and characteristics necessary for the evaluation of the energy performance of buildings.
  The calculation procedures for the evaluation of the indicated quantities are described in the technical specifications of the UNI TS 11300 series. Methodologies aimed at design (design rating) and standard (asset rating) energy assessments will be considered in the development.

CENED Hourly Calculation

TerrAria is designing on behalf of ARIA S.p.A. the new calculation engine based on the new technical standard on energy performance of buildings UNI EN ISO 52016, which precisely introduces the concept of dynamic hourly calculation in the calculation of energy performance of buildings.

The new engine is aimed at determining the trend of the internal temperature of the building envelope at hourly intervals, thus making it possible to obtain the heating and cooling loads and requirements of the building based on hourly climatic data and initial conditions.
  The calculation method developed will make it possible to evaluate, on an hourly basis, the heating, cooling, and humidification load and heat demand, indoor temperature, humidity, and latent and sensible heat load for heating and cooling.

This includes the development of the new calculation engine and contextually the related interface, aimed at the procedure of input, launching of calculation and display of outputs by the certifier/professional.
