The company

TerrAria is an Innovative SME founded in Milan in 1999. It is a software house and consulting company in the environmental field. Since 2016 TerrAria has been ISO 9001-2015 certified for the Process of Design, Development and Maintenance of Information Systems, ITALCERT CERTIFICATE No. 647SGQ02.for the Process of Design, Development and Maintenance of Information Systems, ITALCERT CERTIFICATE No. 647SGQ02.

The multifaceted skills and experience gained by the staff of TerrAria range from offering specialized and advanced IT solutions and expertise to developing tools, methodologies and processes at the service of the environment and the land, with specific energy-environmental expertise.

The skills

Thanks to the ability to analyze the energy-environmental sustainability of processes, through data analysis and processing and especially by means of modeling approach, TerrAria has gained specific transversal skills in the development of decision support systems and WebGIS, with the awareness of the need to integrate multidisciplinary issues and “networking.”
Today it can count on the contribution of a close-knit, multidisciplinary team of 25 collaborators with articulated professional skills – computer scientists, physicists, environmental/energy engineers, and environmental/energy planners.

The team is capable of responding with qualified expertise to the demand expressed by public entities research organizations and private operators in the areas of air pollution and energy efficiency, environmental and energy planning, strategic and impact assessments, and in the design and implementation of ad hoc applications in these fields.
The approach adopted is oriented toward sustainable development and energy-environmental, economic and social sustainability.

TerrAria has so far won more than 15 R&D regionals, nationals and internationals projects and constantly invests in innovation and technological progress by participating to new funding calls. Discover more

Innovation

Partner of the “Smart Land Integrated digital ecosystem for the management of territory and its resources” and leader of the supply chain “Transition to the ecosystem of Renewable Energy Communities“, TerrAria is registered in QuESTIO, instrument created by Lombardy Region to promote the innovation ecosystem, understood as a set of different entities active in the field of research and innovation.

Since 2014 TerrAria belongs to the “Fondazione Cluster Tecnologie Per Le Smart Cities & Communities Lombardia” (Cluster SCC) which aims to bring together companies, Research centres and stakeholders to promote and facilitate research in support of innovation. In the three-year period 2017-2020, TerrAria was part of the board of directors of the SCC Cluster and since 2016 it is in the special section of the business register as an innovative SME.

Since February 2020 TerrAria is associated with Lombardy Energy Cleantech Cluster (LE2C), a Lombardy technology cluster for energy and the environment to support growth, Innovation and competitiveness of the regional production system.

Collaborations

In February 2020, TerrAria signed an agreement with the University of Brescia for collaborations aimed at research activities, The Department of Molecular and Translational Medicine (DMTM) and the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (DIME).

TerrAria is a member of the GREEN ECONOMY NETWORK (GEN), the network promoted by Assolombarda to promote new alliances among companies that offer products, technologies and services for environmental sustainability and energy, to give visibility to their expertise.

Our superhero friend has passed away. Our little big giant with his shy, but strong, young smile, not unlike that shy effort of the sun to regain the sky after a long rain, solved everyone’s problems every day. Our team

Our multidisciplinary team relies on the contribution of around 25 employees and is constantly growing and always looking for innovative solutions for the service of the territory. Thanks to the ability to analyze energy-related sustainability the European Commission has published a report on the environmental impact of the EU’s industrial processes, through data analysis and processing and above all through the modelling approach.

For years TerrAria has been investing in the training of its employees, encouraging personal professional growth and technological progress of the company to better support its customers, ensuring the development of efficient and advanced solutions.
