TerrAria, in collaboration with Enviroware, developed the MAQES (Multimodel Air Quality and Environment Suite) modeling platform.
MAQES enables the simulation of pollutant dispersion processes in the atmosphere, as well as the estimation of depositions and pollutant particles on the ground for the assessment of environmental and population health impacts.
The atmospheric dispersion model implemented in the platform is LAPMOD. The modeling system integrates the outputs of the CALMET model for the meteorological part and allows the user to select model calculation domains, duration and simulated pollutants. Results can be visualized in terms of both particles and concentrations.
Product Application
The tool is now used by Health Protection Agencies (HPAs) Milan to do health and epidemiological impact assessments.
As part of air quality assessment platforms, TerrAria developed the MARS (Multimodel AiR Suite) system on behalf of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. MARS is a modeling platform to support both the assessment of odor and pollutant impacts in the atmosphere (using CALPUFF and CAMx air quality models) and enables simulation of the current condition and possible future realizations/changes related to the development of Jazan Economic City.
